Green Dreams or Stalled Schemes?-April 2025
April 30, 2025

On 30 April, the LAI London Chapter gathered together for a special event at Seed 130 on Fenchurch Street.
We had the privilege of a preview of ‘Move 37: Aftermath and Alluvion’, a large scale installation by acclaimed British artist Mat Collishaw . The presents an 8-minute AI generated, dystopia underwater world shaped by pollution and synthetic biology. I highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the City Of London.
The preview was followed by a brilliant panel discussion chaired by our Chapter President Frances Heeney on ‘Green Dreams or Stalled Schemes’ – can our cities truly go green in an age of rising geo- political tensions, fragile economies and poly crises.

The ‘S’ in ESG is the most important element of the equation. Put people before numbers on spreadsheets.
We heard from panelists – Yasmin Jones-Henry , Natasha Gracey , Julia Groenewold, Darren Rodwell , Félicie Krikler , Kunle Barker and Gareth Rowe. Thank you to our brilliant panelists for their insights, reflections, and provications and to everyone who came along.
