Bringing Together
Foresight.
And Insight
Yes, LAI members did travel 5,000 miles for a social gathering in Sandwich, MA.
February 22, 2023

In August, three longtime members of LAI International and their spouses gathered on Cape Cod at the historic Daniel Webster Inn for lobster, clams and sharing happy memories.
Present were:
Gary and Maria Leach. Gary is a member of the Boston Chapter and is the current President of LAI International.
Rachel Edds and Elliott Lieberman. Rachel is a member of the Baltimore Chapter, was the 2022 International Member of the Year, and is immediate past President of LEF Foundation.
Cheryl and Ray Soon. Cheryl is a member of the Aloha Chapter, was the 2016 International Member of the Year, and past International Secretary (2016-20).
The three couples recalled wonderful times attending LEWs and the cross-chapter friendships made through LAI. Each also helped plan a LEW hosted in their Chapter city.
Gary’s first international LEW was in London in 2003. Rachel and Cheryl first met at the Glasgow Scotland LEW in 2011 when they were Presidents of their respective Chapters.
They enjoyed the 2022 Los Angeles LEW and are eagerly anticipating the 2023 International LEW in Barcelona.
It all comes down to continuing a tradition of friendship through a shared interest in land economics.
