Aloha Chapter Installation
August 10, 2016

The Aloha Chapter initiated seven of its new members (4 were unable to attend) at its quarterly luncheon meeting at the Oahu Country Club.
Afterwards, 50 members heard a presentation by Randall Tanaka, president of the Hawaii Host Committee for the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) quadrennial Congress which will be held in Honolulu in September. The 10,000 members and delegates will hold plenary and break-out sessions at the Honolulu Convention Center. This is the first time the Congress has been held in the United States (the immediate past Congresses was held in Korea). Formally taking part for the United States will be the Department of State and the Department of the Interior.
