Our presenter will be Lance Parker, President of A&B Properties, Inc. Mr. Parker oversees all of Alexander & Baldwin's real estate operations.
Founded in 1870 and incorporated in 1900, Alexander & Baldwin is a premier Hawaii company, with interests in commercial real estate, real estate development, agriculture, and materials and construction.
Alexander & Baldwin, through its real estate subsidiary, A&B Properties Inc., operates a commercial portfolio comprising 5 million square feet of retail, office and industrial space, consisting of 58 properties in Hawaii and on the U.S. Mainland and develops and sells real property, primarily in Hawaii. A&B Properties also owns over 88,000 acres of land, primarily on the islands of Maui and Kauai.
Mr. Parker will discuss:
- The cessation of Hawaiian Commercial & Sugar Company and its plans to convert these lands into diversified agriculture use
- Income properties – A&B's focus
- Development -driving new value from an old business line

Prior to joining A&B in 2004,Mr. Parker was with Grubb & Ellis in California, where he spent eleven years providing real estate advisory and brokerage services. Mr. Parker is a graduate of Kamehameha Schools and has a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Southern California. He currently serves as a director on the boards of Historic Hawaii Foundation and the Bishop Museum.
