Southdale Meets the 21st Century

Considered by PBS to be one of the 'Ten Buildings that Changed America," the reformation of historic Southdale Center will be an example of a public and private vision that smartly positions the mall for doing business in a new age of retail and entertainment.

A total renovation of the world’s first shopping center, which includes the addition of 14 new businesses, will be completed in the fall of 2013. LAI Minnesota has invited Edina Mayor Jim Hovland to give a firsthand view of the planning and commitment that will bring this regional landmark online.
