Veteran political consultant and San Francisco insider Alex Clemens of Lighthouse Public Affairs will discuss what transpired in the November 8, 2016, election in San Francisco and the nation  everything from the races for district supervisor to the very long list of local ballot initiatives.  Alex will offer his analysis on what happened and his predictions on what it will mean for the future of politics as it relates to land use in San Francisco.  Hell also answer your burning questions about all things political and may even throw in a few Trump jokes  unless Trump wins, in which case Alex will discuss his plans to relocate to Canada.

SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY
Alex Clemens is a veteran political operative who has worked for four elected officials in San Francisco and Washington, DC. In 2003, Alex founded Barbary Coast Consulting. In 2016, Lighthouse Public Affairs was founded, the result of a merger between Barbary Coast Consulting and Goodyear Petersen Hayward, two leading Bay Area strategic consultancies.
 
An accomplished lobbyist, Alex regularly meets with elected and appointed officials on behalf of his clients. He has been involved in two decades of negotiations (both inside and government) surrounding San Francisco's favorite political pastime: debating location, height and density. Alex has helped facilitate City Hall, community and stakeholder conversations that have shaped housing and development policy on Rincon Hill, along Market Street, in SOMA, and the Van Ness and Geary corridors.
