SEIMONE JURJIS, CITY MANAGER, CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH

Seimone Jurjis was appointed city manager for Newport Beach in 2025, after serving the City of Newport Beach for 14 years. He first joined the City in July of 2011 and was selected as the Community Development Director in August of 2017, having previously served as the City’s Chief Building Official. Seimone was promoted to Assistant City Manager in July of 2023. He has over 32 years of experience working in both the private and public sectors. Prior to joining the City of Newport Beach, Seimone was the President and Chief Operating Officer for a real estate company focusing on entitlements, land transactions, and development. Prior to that, he served as the director of planning and building safety for the City of El Segundo, where he had also been the city engineer and building official. Seimone has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and is a licensed professional civil engineer, licensed real estate broker, and certified building official. He is also a licensed pilot. Seimone was raised in the City of Orange and currently lives there with his wife and two children.
