LAI Minnesota’s own Tom Fisher, Assoc. AIA, is the current Dean of the College of Design in the School of Architecture at the U of M. By the time he speaks to LAI MN, he will be the Director of the Metropolitan Design Center, also at the U of M. Since its founding in 1988 with a grant from the Dayton Hudson Foundation, the MDC has explored how an integrated urban design approach can help in making metropolitan communities more livable and sustainable. Tom will discuss his vision as he begins his tenure at MDC and looks forward to a lively exchange with LAI members!
