Baltimore Chapter Meeting with Mark G. Thompson, Howard County Economic Authority, and Gary Fitchitt, Howard Hughes Corporation

Mark G. Thompson, Vice President of Business Development, Howard County Economic Development Authority, and Greg Fitchitt, Vice President, Development, Howard Hughes Corporation, to speak on Howard County’s redevelopment efforts.

Mark Thompson will present an overview of the economic, demographic and real estate trends that have influenced redevelopment efforts across Howard County including Columbia’s Downtown, Village Centers, and Columbia Gateway as well as Route 40 and Route 1. 

Greg Fitchett will speak about Downtown Columbia that is envisioned to become the 21st Century urban center of Howard County. This presentation will describe the innovative public-private partnership solutions for affordable housing and public infrastructure currently under consideration by the Howard County Council to make this vision a reality.
