Are the City of Toronto’s Employment Areas Policies Working?

The City of Toronto is releasing a draft Official Plan Amendment for its Employment Areas policies as part of its Official Plan review this fall. Meanwhile, the City has received more than 100 "conversion" requests/applications, seeking changes to current Employment Area designations as part of its ongoing Municipal Comprehensive Review.

Mark Flowers from Davies Howe Partners LLP will speak about how the City has defended its Employment Areas policies in the past, and about how the legal profession has challenged some of its key assumptions. What direction might the City take with their current review and what options are available to them?
