On Monday 7th September, LAI London will host a special event in association with the LDN Collective and Healthy City Design. We are looking forward to hearing from Larry Beasley and Michael White, the authors of Planning the Future of Abu Dhabi: A Canadian-Emirati Collaboration for Sustainable Urbanism, and members of LAI Vancouver. The book tells the inside story of the international team that helped guide Abu Dhabi’s transformation during a period of extraordinary growth.
Their experience raises highly relevant questions for our own work: how can strong planning leadership, cross-cultural collaboration and long-term thinking help fast-growing cities become more liveable, resilient and sustainable? This is an invitation-only event.
