Susannah Bergmann - LAI Baltimore Chapter Member, LAI Regional Vice President - Eastern North America
Susannah Bergmann owns Kaliber Construction, Inc., a commercial construction firm, with her husband. She was born in the Netherlands, raised in Seattle, WA, lived in New York, and in 1995 made Baltimore area her home.
Atlanta Chapter: Bill St. de Aubin
Again, thank you to Philip Searles for his leadership of the Chapter and we appreciate Bill St. de Aubin coming back as the new Chapter President.
The chapter has outlined a program schedule for the year, and has had outstanding speakers, but the events are currently under-attended. The location is the Cobb Chamber of Commerce with a great view, and the Chapter has secured sponsorship with Sizemore to be its Place Sponsor.
There are two new board members: VP of Membership Faith Hoople and VP of Programs Jill Kelleher. Jill has built a team of three Program Committee members, including co-chair Rich Brasher formerly of the San Diego Chapter.
Suzanne Blackledge, who had been the Administrator with the Sacramento Chapter and then with the Atlanta Chapter, has left LAI to join her family business. We sincerely thank her for her dedicated 23 years with LAI!
Because the chapter is without an Administrative Support person the RVP is providing them Mailchimp, EventBrite, website and LinkedIn to support their communications and marketing efforts. The chapter’s LinkedIn Page currently has 66 followers.
Baltimore Chapter: Michael Cordes
At the November 2023 Annual Meeting, Michael Cordes was installed as the Chapter President. He was the VP of Programs, and before that the Scribe for 5 years. We sincerely thank Nate Betnun for his dedicated leadership and look forward to him remaining involved! Welcome Michael!
In addition to regular programming (10 per year), board meetings, and general membership recruitment efforts the Baltimore Chapter is doing well while recognizing its ongoing need to build/retain membership. Three new members have been welcomed.
