Join us for a special LAI Member Tour of the brand new Academy of Creative Media (ACM) which held its' grand opening in November 2022 at UH-West Oahu (UHWO). This $37 million state-of-the-art facility is part of the larger UH system's commitment to allow Hawaii's students to pursue their digital dreams.
Chancellor Maenette Benham will provide an overview of the UHWO and the ACM which synthesizes multiple creative media technologies of the future including video, animation, gaming design, internet/social media, sound, mobile aps, augmented reality and story telling.
Our own LAI-member, Steve Kelly, President of James Campbell Co's Kapolei Properties Division will also provide the regional context and what is in store for the future of the "Second City".
The tour will be followed with cocktails and pupus to allow members to mix and mingle at the end of the week. The event will be complementary for LAI members only, so please mark your calendars for this very special event!
