The discussion will be moderated by Eric T. Goldstein, Executive Director, King of Prussia District.
Decades ago the Pharma industry shifted to the suburbs, including the 202 and 422 corridors. However the last decade has seen renewed interest in urban areas, including proximity to University City / Philadelphia’s many universities. The dramatic sub/urban evolution in King of Prussia is also attracting substantial interest and investment. This growing industry sector will continue to generate vitality for the region. Audrey Greenberg is the Co-founder and Executive Managing Director of The Discovery Labs, a private-equity backed cell and gene therapy CDMO bringing a novel, disruptive business model to market. Ms. Greenberg’s diverse experience spans over two decades of multi-million-dollar M&A deals and projects, including launching several successful start-ups as well as growing mature businesses in the biotechnology, real estate, pharma, and financial services industries. The Wharton graduate has raised over $3 billion for various private and public ventures, managed over $20 billion in assets, and overseen and performed diligence on over $1 billion in acquisitions and spinoffs. Ms. Greenberg is a dynamic speaker, champion of women’s leadership causes, and mentor to aspiring professionals in the organizations she leads.
John Grady serves as Wexford’s Northeast Region Executive and Senior Vice President of Development. With more than 30 years of experience, he has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in building and managing public-private partnerships that drive investment, development and job growth. In his role, John develops relationships and executes projects that create and expand Wexford’s Knowledge Communities throughout the Northeast, including Philadelphia’s uCity Square, Providence’s Innovation & Design District, and Pittsburgh’s Innovation Corridor.
Prior to joining Wexford, John served as President of PIDC, Philadelphia’s city-wide public-private development corporation where he was responsible for efforts to drive economic growth to every corner of Philadelphia. In this role, John led PIDC’s efforts to strengthen relationships among the public, private, institutional and philanthropic sectors to promote business growth, investment and development across the city and throughout its economy. John joined PIDC in 1998 and served as its President for 9 years. Prior to joining PIDC, John spent 9 years with the Cooper’s Ferry Development Association planning and developing Camden, New Jersey’s commercial waterfront.
John is a graduate of La Salle University with a BA in Economics and the University of Pennsylvania’s MPA program. He is active with a number of corporate, higher education and civic organizations in Philadelphia, including serving on the Board of Directors at PECO Energy, an Exelon Subsidiary; as a Trustee at La Salle University; and on the Board of the Philadelphia Convention and Visitor’s Bureau. He also serves as a member of the President’s Real Estate Council at Drexel University, the Corporate Council at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and the Innovation Advisory Board at the University of Pennsylvania’s Abramson Cancer Center.
Eric Goldstein is the founding Executive Director of the King of Prussia District, a private, not-for-profit organization that works with 441 commercial property owners to keep King of Prussia economically viable and vibrant. Eric launched highly successful efforts to reposition King of Prussia as one of America’s great Edge Cities. Since 2011, Eric has modernized outdated zoning codes, launched a commuter shuttle service, managed design and installation of over $6M in landscape improvements, directed aggressive marketing efforts to keep King of Prussia top-of-mind, and conducted numerous tax policy and planning studies.
Eric’s efforts have contributed significantly to the $3B economic development boom King of Prussia experienced since 2010 and, as a result, Eric was named to the Philadelphia Business Journal’s 2017 Power 100 list, cited as a “Change Agent,” and was named the 2016 Best Visionary by Philadelphia Magazine.Eric is a licensed Landscape Architect (NJ/PA) and Professional Planner (NJ) and serves on the Board of Directors for the International Downtown Association (IDA) in Washington, D.C.
