As we transition into a post-Covid world, many who live, work, and play in cities and their suburbs are left wondering how this historic period will affect one of our most integral infrastructures: mass transit. After years of momentum in the mass-transit sector many urbanists and planners now fear its popularity may be waning due to concerns about health and safety, potentially leading to a slew of practical changes in our daily commutes. Lambda Alpha Philly is proud to present our next meeting featuring national and local authorities on mass transit policy and practice. Please join us for a discussion with Professor Yingling Fan, Ph.D. of University of Minnesota and Richard Voith, Ph.D. of Econsult Solutions. The meeting will take place on June 30th at 1 PM Eastern Standard Time on Zoom- link will be provided day before meeting.

Professor Fan is a professor of Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Minnesota. She was recently featured in the National Geographic article “Your Daily Commute Will Never Be The Same.”Prof. Fan is also Director of Global Transit Innovations and Editor-In-Chief of the Journal of Transport and Land Use and the North American Editor of Urban Studies.
