LAI LA Chapter Members Kelly Potter and Dana Dattola will explore how rising premiums, reduced coverage options, and claim trends are reshaping the insurance landscape. Attendees will learn about the challenges in securing adequate coverage and discover innovative risk management strategies to protect their investments. A hosted network reception will follow.

 

KELLY POTTER, CAVIGNAC

Kelly Potter joined Cavignac in 2007, where she serves as a partner and leads the Professional Service Practice Group. With a specialization in risk management for architects and engineers, Kelly is recognized for her ability to craft tailored insurance solutions that help businesses reduce risk and control costs. Her expertise in managing emerging risks while delivering outstanding client service has made her a trusted advisor in the Southern California business community.

A graduate of San Diego State University and proud member of its National Championship Water Ski Team, Kelly has continually expanded her professional credentials. She holds prestigious designations such as Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Professional Workers' Compensation Advisor (PWCA), and Construction Risk & Insurance Specialist (CRIS), underscoring her commitment to industry leadership.

Kelly’s influence extends beyond her clients—she is actively engaged with key industry associations and non-profits and is a frequent contributor to trade journals. Her presentations on risk management, especially for design professionals, have earned her a reputation as a leading educator in her field. When she's not working, Kelly enjoys exploring the beach or mountains with her husband and two daughters.

 

DANA DATTOLA, WEAVER & ASSOCIATES

As a third-generation independent insurance broker, Dana is passionate about giving confidence and clarity to the businesses she serves by providing knowledge-based risk management solutions and exceptional customer service.

Weaver and Associates was founded in 1959 by Dana’s grandfather, Ralph Weaver, and continues to partner with privately held businesses and high-net-worth individuals with their risk management and insurance needs.
