Elizabeth Davison, Director of Housing and Community Affairs (Retired), Montgomery County, MD, was named International Member of the Year at the Los Angeles Land Economics Weekend Awards Banquet October 15.
The Award was presented by Jim Fawcett, PhD, International Awards Committee Chair. Elizabeth was nominated by Joel Kline, GW Chapter President, and Patty Nicoson, GW Awards Chair.
LAI is pleased to share Elizabeth’s International Member of the Year Citation.
Recognizing over 20 years of leadership to the George Washington Chapter including as its president.
Her expertise in development economics and research both in and out of government allowed her to assist developers, corporations, governments and not-for-profit organizations to create successful residential, commercial and industrial real estate projects in the National Capitol Region.
Both professionally and with LAI she has been committed to exemplary public service.
Elizabeth held key leadership positions in several private consulting firms both before and after serving in Montgomery County Government. This experience in both the public and private sectors honed her expertise in economic development and real estate market research. These firms include Team Four, Real Estate Research Corporation, Hammer Siler George, RCLCO, and Real Estate Strategies.
Elizabeth has also taught real estate, planning, and economic development at Catholic and Georgetown Universities and mentored many young professionals.

I have had a broad career in land economics including about 21 years in public sector work, 20 years in private sector consulting work and 5 years teaching at graduate levels in affordable housing and real estate economics. I would appreciate it if the write up could reflect the breadth of my career.”
